Night two. Sold out. Two weeks early. The Godfathers did it again. Turns out Sydney really does love Italian food. 🖤
New menu highlight. Starting with Coffin Bay octopus — grilled to order, set over tomato‑nduja sugo and house caponata, finished with lemon and parsley. A strong first drop. More on the way.
Last Wednesday we kicked off Dal Mare alla Città with Night One Italian icons @alexpavoni , @chefgiovannipilu & our very own @jameskidman bringing the heat 🔥 Honestly, no notes 🤌 The food was banging. The drinks were flowing. And the vibes were absolutely on thanks to @brad.mullins 📀 Our final night with @therussolinigroup & @richardptacnik on June 24 is knocking on a sellout. What’s cooking @alexpavoni 🔥 Turns out live Tasmanian abalone travels well. Alessandro brings aged Carnaroli risotto, live Tasmanian abalone, fresh herb purée and a squeeze of Amalfi lemon to night one of Dal Mare alla Città – we’ll take it! And the wine? Italian. Naturally. Alessandro, Giovanni and James move through the kitchen at ease, throwing flames and elite banter in equal measure. The menu they’ve got for you (slide 2 👀) is quite literally a fire-driven evening with the definition of Italian soul 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹. Wednesday 27 May is a one-night-only menu. The Midday Edit for April is finger licking good. Milanese Pork Cotoletta w. burnt sage, caper berry, parmesan & lemon. Lunch only. $39pp. Egg optional (but we’re low key into it). Link in bio to book 🍽️

Three cheeses, zero restraint. A slow-stirred risotto that leans all the way in. Creamy, nutty with toasted hazelnut, lifted by fresh herbs and cut through with a slick of 10-year-aged balsamic. Risotto, a damn good classic (with a Gowings twist).
Sharing isn’t just encouraged, it’s essential. Our new entrées are vibrant, tasty and made to mix, match and pass around the table (so you can try a little of everything). Open for lunch & dinner.
