Hippo’s signature High Tea is a decadent afternoon affair designed for long lunches, celebratory catch ups and a little indulgence above the harbour. Served in the velvet-clad surrounds of Hippo, each tier brings together a rotating selection of handcrafted pâtisserie, delicate savouries and seasonal bites inspired by local produce and French technique.

Begin with a glass of bubbles on arrival before settling into three tiers layered with sweet and savoury temptation. Expect rich pastries, buttery baked treats and beautifully plated savoury snacks, all paired with sweeping waterfront views and bottomless teapots. Why stop there? Add on a cocktail, mocktail or the crisp, cold clarity of Perrier-Jouët. Or if it’s not your Nana’s high tea kick it up a notch with bottomless bubbles.

Part local harvest, part structural spectacle; anyway you stack it, this high tea is the crème de la pistachio crème.
